1.Pre-Installation (Prep & Safety):

Isolate all high-voltage field wiring and disconnect main 120/240 V AC power from the chassis power supply (e.g., 1746-P1, P2, or P4) using Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols. Wear a grounded ESD wrist strap. Label all field wiring arms (1746-RTB) and take detailed reference photographs of module positions and expansion interconnect cable routing before touching any hardware.

2.Module Removal:

Unscrew and remove the terminal blocks from each installed I/O module. Squeeze the top and bottom release tabs on each I/O module and slide them straight out of the slots. Remove the power supply mounting screws on the far left and lift the power supply clear of the 1746-A10 frame. Disconnect any 1746-C13 or 1746-C7 chassis interconnect cables attached to the side ports.

3.Chassis Replacement & Mounting:
